The Christmas holiday blog review.
Even though it was a short week for a few soaps, the week seemed balanced out with holiday cheer and merry mischief. Stephanie (Susan Flannery) seemed to appear on “B&B” to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, The Horton’s hung their family ornaments on the tree on “DOOL,” both the Quartermaine and Corinthos parties were crashed on “GH,” and on “Y&R” we think they celebrated Christmas.
B&B Breakdown:It is uncertain when we will be able to report that the love triangle is over, but if you were away for the holiday, be assured the status quo remains. Candace says it’s a “bummer to see the dreaded triangle storyline revisited.” We couldn’t agree more. Her take on the Rick and Caroline saga is spot on and quite possibly that could be more annoying than the triangle at this point. The heartfelt Christmas moments this week were worth tuning in for though as Eric attended the Celtic Woman performance and was joined later by family. Less heartfelt was what was on Bill’s mind. Check out the rest of The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog.
Deconstructing Days:I think Dustin will be sending Father Eric a sweater for Christmas and I can’t blame him. He says, “I’m sure Nicole will find a way to help Eric feel better if he doesn’t start locking his door and put some clothes on when he sleeps.” He’s dishing on the holiday edition of the Sami/EJ/Rafe triangle as well. I wasn’t so much annoyed by that, yet, as I was with Nicole trying to make a date with a priest for New Year’s Eve. Really? I know it is the modern era but a priest alone bringing in the New Year, with an ex no less, that is scandalous in any century. If that isn’t enough to curl your toes you can catch more in the Days of Our Lives Weekly Blog.
GH Rundown:There were only a few days to visit Port Charles this week, but they were full of plot thickening turns. The Quartermaines are celebrating with fewer family members this year, even though A.J. has returned. While the Q’s pined over not having Michael attend for the holidays, nobody mentioned missing Sam or Jason’s baby. Lucy Coe and Connie Falconeri crashed different parties. Connie bumped it up a notch and kidnapped Johnny, whom she intended to kill. She probably would have been two for two if Michael hadn’t shown up at The Haunted Star. Oh, and Dante and Lulu are going to have a baby! Read more in the General Hospital Weekly Blog.
Matt’s Musings:Well, Matt couldn’t overstate in the least the most obvious happening in Salem last week, Sami’s red lipstick. She must have picked up Kristen’s bag by mistake somewhere. Jenn needs a stick of that to spice up things with Daniel so he knows she’s recovering from his surgery. Matt says, “If Jenn regresses much more, she will be behaving like a four year old soon.” Visit Matt for more endearing “DOOL” holiday memories in Matt’s Musings.
Restless Rant:There’s enough to report on in Genoa City, even if it lacks chemistry and real holiday cheer. Candace says of Nikki and Victor’s gift exchange, “the gifts were nice, but the scenes didn’t draw me in.” There was an intervention for Jack, those are always fun. Candace paints a not so pretty picture of Christmas at Michael’s house though. Sounds like a hot mess of confusion to me. Less confusing but more annoying is Adam. More drama is noted in The Young and the Restless Weekly Blog.
