The shows were full of naughty surprises last week, giving everyone a little eye candy whether they wanted it or not. Bill got an eyeful when Brooke showed off the goods on “B&B,” Kate and Connie both got some from Sonny on “GH,” Chloe laid one on a drunk Daniel on “DOOL,” and Lauren did some double duty of her own on “Y&R.”
While the storylines have been encompassing more characters, Candace felt like a lot of personality traits have been abruptly changed to advance them. “Rick and Maya are definitely sparking, and she brings out a different side of Rick, but at the same time, it’s utterly confusing,” Candace said. “Rick’s been an absolute ass these past months and suddenly he’s become Mr. Nice Guy. Also, presumably to facilitate this storyline, Caroline has inexplicably become a spoiled, selfish, pouty diva. As a viewer, I wish they could have found a way to tell the story of Rick falling for Maya without the abrupt change in personalities.” Find out which character Candace would like to see develop more in the Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog.
Chloe’s schemes finally got the shot in the arm they needed last week when mama bear came back to Salem. “Nancy’s a pretty good schemer which Chloe needs desperately,” Christine said. “It was surprising that Nancy told her daughter that she can separate Jenn and Dan but if he doesn’t love her she can’t make him. Seems Chloe should have learned this a long time ago. Nicole also brought up a good point – Chloe may not even be suited for Daniel anymore. She’s no saint like her Royal Hortonness but Dan does seem awfully worried about hurting Chloe’s feelings which shows he still cares at least to some extent.” Also, Nicole was barking up the wrong tree in the Days of Our Lives Weekly Blog.
Luke and Laura finally shared some scenes, and Scott loomed large over them both. But Hollie was more concerned about Luke’s return to the bottle. “So is anyone going to bring up the fact that Luke is drinking again?” she asked. “He has taken a few drinks over the past few weeks and no one seems to think anything of it. Tracy should give it a mention at least. This can only mean complications for any kind of relationship that could be on the horizon with Laura who finally had some scenes this week. She really let Scott control her every action. Standing up for herself has never been her strong suit and he is taking every advantage.” And read about Caleb’s maybe-exit in the General Hospital Weekly Blog.
Will finally started to see what Nick was all about last week. Finally. “Gabigate hit new highs and lows this week,” Matt said. “Sonny demonstrated tight lipped wit. Will continued to prove that he’s become a stereotypical air-headed blond. Lucas stood beside Sonny until they began to look disturbingly alike. As Nick was busy blackmailing Will into dropping all ties with his baby, all that Lucas Roberts ‘er, I mean Horton’ could do was tell Fallon that he wasn’t a Horton anymore. Demonstrating mental powers that beggar belief, Nick managed to completely ignore them all, as well as Sami’s blustering and EJ’s threats, and just putter on with his life like he was playing a round of golf.” And read about John’s return in Matt’s Musings.
It was another great, if not terribly exciting, week in Genoa City, especially for Adam. “I think Adam should just stick to work for now, since he’s getting nowhere fast with the women in his life,” Candace said. “Sharon moves in, only to announce hours later that she should move back out and quit Newman. When Chelsea shows up, Sharon doesn’t say a peep about moving on without Adam, just excuses herself and makes a point of saying she’ll be back soon. Hmm. So Chelsea makes a third attempt at telling Adam she’s carrying his child and once again poops out. Honestly, this whole drama with Chelsea not knowing how Adam will react and blah, blah is beyond me. The whole point of the two of them was that they fell into a relationship because they were so much alike and understood each other.” Find out what happened between Michael and Lauren in the Young and the Restless Weekly Blog.
