July General Hospital Comings And Goings.

Port Charles’ revolving door.

Keep updated on who is in and out of Port Charles. We keep this updated as casting news is released.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that the show is looking to cast an African-American 25 – 27 year old female in a contract role. The character is described as someone who has the ability to change a room by simply entering it. The role will begin shooting in September.

Rumors have been swirling of Peter Reckell (ex-Bo Brady, “DOOL”) possibly being pursued by “General Hospital” showrunners. Peter Reckell took to Twitter, asking fans if they’ve seen the article in SOD about this. He says, “Interesting.” A fan hoped he would play Sam’s father and a member of the Jerome crime family and Reckell said, “Crime family? cool ; – )” He later tweeted that he’s still waiting for that door to open which sounds as though he has not been approached.

Richard Simmons took to Twitter to announce that he’d be making another guest appearance in Port Charles. Stay tuned for his upcoming date as it’s released.

William deVry has been cast as Derek Wells. Look for him starting on July 30.

Kelly Sullivan will be exiting the soap. No final air date has been announced and the role will not be recast.

Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) will be sticking around now that the actor has returned to contract status.
