TV Guide Magazine is reporting that Guiding Light’s Crystal Chappell will be heading back to Salem after that series goes off the air in September. Crystal has just inked a with TPTB at Days to return to her old role of Carly Manning (Katerina von Leuschner). Chappell met and married her husband Michael Sabatino (ex-Lawrence Alamain) on the show in the 1990s. Taping is set for September and we’ll see her on our screen in October. Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) will be back and so will Crystal Chappell (Carly Manning), which has left many fans wondering id any more of the Alamain clan will be back. Felisha Terrell is leaving Salem behind, but a familiar face will be taking over the role.
In a surprising bit of news, it has just been announced that Lindsay Hartley will be taking over the role of Arianna Hernandez. Those familiar with Passions will immediately realize that this will not only re-unite Hartley with her former onscreen brother Galen Gering (Rafe), but also with her former love interest, Eric Martsolf (Brady). If the flames weren’t burning for a Brady and Arianna relationship before, they will be now. Martsolf and Hartley portrayed Ethan and Theresa, Harmony’s troubled supercouple for years. Actor, magician and man of many talents, Kevin Spirtas is returning to Salem.
Spirtas will be re-joining the cast and reprising his old role as Dr. Craig Wesley. The return will be brief, but it comes just when the town could use another handsome doctor around. He originally played Dr. Wesley from 1999 to 2003.

TV vet David Leisure is set to arrive as Salem’s new District Attorney. He was mostly recently seen on Daytime during his recent run on The Young and the Restless. His first official air date hasn’t been announced but Producer Ken Corday has already hinted that he will have a very busy time keeping the towns explosive crime rate under control.
