Following the news that Crystal Chappell will be returning to the show, it looks like Days will be getting another vet as well.

Soap Opera Digest has reported that Wally Kurth is returning to Salem as Justin Kiriakis. Victor’s nephew, he was married to Adrienne Johnson and involved in various minor mischief in Salem before disappearing to Dubai. Nick Stabile began his first day of shooting his new role on Days on Friday June 12 .

The actor has joined the cast as the second Horton coming to town this summer. Which Horton he is is still shrouded in mystery. Stabile played Mark Wolper on “Sunset Beach,” briefly played Fox Crane on Passions and has appeared on a host of Primetime series including “Charmed” and “Without a Trace.” You can look forward to seeing him show up in Salem beginning on July 17. Rachel Kimsey (ex-Mac The Young and the Restless) will be coming to Salem as Meredith, a woman with a connection to Rafe. Look for her on July 17.

Nick Stabile will be joining the cast this month. Nick used to play Mark Wolper on “Sunset Beach” and briefly played Fox Crane on Passions. Expect to see him on June 25.

Yvette Freeman will be retuning to Salem to help nurse Grace when she falls ill.

Wes Ramsey (Owen) will be exiting the series during the week of June 1.

Mark Hapka will be coming on board to play Nathan Horton, Melissa and Pete’s son. He will be working as an intern at the hospital and expected to be paired with Melanie.

Casey Jon Deidrick will be turning up in town as Chad, mysterious Mia’s ex.

It is rumored that Nick Stabile could be joining the cast as a Horton. Nick used to play Mark Wolper on “Sunset Beach” and briefly played Fox Crane on Passions.

Canadian and veteran soap actor Gordon Thomson will be arriving in Salem soon.

Soaps fans will recognize him as a familiar face on Primetime and Daytime. He is probably best known as the nasty Adam Carrington on “Dynasty.” After that series finished, he ran the circuit of Daytime’s shining past, popping up on “Santa Barbara,” The Young and the Restless, “Sunset Beach,” “Passions,” and “Ryan’s Hope.” You may have also spotted him in the feature films, “Little Miss Sunshine,” and “Poseidon.” Read the rest of this entry »

Days of Our Lives fans in Australia will be having something to look forward to this May. Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso, (Bo and Hope Brady) will be making a personal appearance in Castle Hill, Australia.

Alfonso and Reckell will be Down Under to meet their fans at the Centre Court of the Castle Towers Mall, at 6-14 Castle Street, Castle Hill, Australia, at 10:00 AM on Saturday May 2. They will be saying hello to fans and signing any TV Week merchandise they bring along. Here’s the latest on the Comings and Goings at Days of Our Lives!

The show is currently casting for a bad-boy teen who may just be the father of Mia’s baby. They are also looking for a 25 year old medical student who will become Melanie’s new beau.

Gordon Thomson will be coming to the show as Walter, Owen the gardener’s father. This is a recurring role.

Roy Vongtama will be appearing in a recurring role beginning on April 20 and 21. He’ll be playing  Dr Richman.

Shelby Young will be playing Kinsey, an old friend of Mia’s who fills Will in on her past. Look for her on Thursday May 7.

Salem is about to add yet another doctor to help ease the burden of their overworked hospital staff.

Roy Vongtama will be making his debut this spring when he comes to Days to play Dr. Richman. You can expect him to make his first appearances on April 20 and April 21.The Buffalo New York native actually began his career as a doctor. After earning a medical degree at the University of Buffalo, he did a residency at UCLA and is now board certified in radiation oncology. Read the rest of this entry »
