Here’s the latest castings news on who is coming to Salem.
Soap vet Ian Buchanan (ex-James, “The Bold And The Beautiful”) has been spotted talking with “DOOL” producers and writers.
Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) returns to shoot new material starting on September 23 and airing later in the year.
“DOOL” is casting for the role of “Julian,” a 20 to 30-year-old, buff African-American man. “He is authentic, heroic and incredibly charming without trying. He has an ease and confidence about him that melts just about any woman he encounters. There is a darkness in his past that at times cast a shadow on his otherwise charmed life,” the casting call states. Read the rest of this entry »
According to TVLine, Daytime vet Tamara Tunie (ex-Jessica, “As The World Turns”) will be showing up in Salem this fall. She will be doing a multi-episode arc as Judge Weston. Interior designer Nate Berkus has shot a guest segment for an upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives.” The TV host will be seen in Salem in the company of Alison Sweeney (Sami), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Sarah Brown (Madison). His trip to the soap was caught on camera for Fox’s “Good Day LA.” Check out the clip for some behind the scenes footage.
Although Shelby Young’s character Kinsey will be having more plot than she’s used to this summer, it looks like it will be the end of her. According to Soap Opera Digest, Young has already wrapped up shooting her final scenes. She will be seen this fall in the Primetime series “American Horror Story.” Read the rest of this entry »
Soap Opera Digest has been tweeting that it looks like the cast of “Days Of Our Lives” might be getting a little bigger again. They’ve reported that soap vet Sarah Brown (ex-Aggie “The Bold And The Beautiful;” ex-Carly, ex-Claudia “General Hospital”) will be joining the cast. Here’s the latest castings news on who is coming to Salem.
Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) finished her last day of shooting on July 15.
The show is currently casting for the part of Erin Hewitt. The character is described as a 60 to 75-year-old African American female attorney. “She has a warm, sassy, disarming demeanor. She is playful and unassuming with a kick in her step.” It is a two day role that may be extended.
David ‘Shark’ Fralick (ex-Larry Wartman, “Y&R”) posted on Facebook that he will be appearing as a killer around the 18th and 19th of July.
Cody Longo will turn up in Salem as Nicholas Alamain late in the summer. No specific air date has been released. Read the rest of this entry »
According to an anonymous tip, Ivan G’Vera (ex-Ivan) is coming back to “Days Of Our Lives” as Vivian’s nefarious sidekick. It looks like this time around, he’s showing up to help her get out of town in one piece. The actor appears to have already started shooting his scenes with Louise Sorel (Vivian) for her character’s upcoming departure. Louise Sorel (Vivian) will be leaving the cast of “Days Of Our Lives” in the near future. The veteran actress told TV Guide, “Bren and I have shot some incredible, really emotional scenes together, scenes about his character’s devotion to Vivian, and how she left him. It’s been wonderful, and he’s a very lovely actor. It’s the first time in a while I’ve felt there was something legitimate to play. But I guess that’s out the window.” Read the rest of this entry »
Ken Corday seems to be keeping to his promise of bringing fan favorites back to Salem. TV Guide is reporting that Patrick Muldoon (Austin) and Christie Clark (Carrie) will be coming back to town this summer. Their return will help flesh out the Horton and Brady clan with a few more familiar faces. The house clearing at “Days Of Our Lives” is continuing. Today, it was revealed that Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) as well as newcomers Tamara Braun (Taylor) and Bren Foster (Quinn) have been cut from the cast.
