Bryan Dattilo Back To Days Of Our Lives. (Updated.)

According to Soap Opera Digest, the producers of “DOOL” are in talks with Dattilo to keep him back in Salem for a few years.

It has been officially confirmed that Bryan Dattilo will be returning as Lucas. Look for him to make his first appearance in late February.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Bryan Dattilo (ex-Lucas Horton) has been spotted around the “Days Of Our Lives” set in Burbank, California. This sounds suspiciously like it could mean that his character will be returning to Salem. Read the rest of this entry »

Days Of Our Lives Comings And Goings For December.

Here’s the latest castings news on who is coming to Salem.

George Wyner will appear as Judge Goldberg, December 23 to give his verdict on John’s future. Wyner played Leon Stern and Judge Carlson on “DOOL” in the past.

Mary Beth Evans is back as Kayla beginning on December 14. Although she brings her son Joey, he will be off screen the whole time.

Days Of Our Lives Alum Lisa Rinna Returning. (Updated.)

Lisa Rinna is back on contract and will be appearing in Salem again as Billie beginning on March 8.

The Huffington Post has reported that Lisa Rinna (Billie Reed) may be returning to “Days Of Our Lives.” Rumor has it that she will start shooting again in December. Rinna made a name for herself playing the role of Billie from 1993-1995 and again from 2003-2005. Roger Schroeder And Lacey Dyer Join Days Of Our Lives Writing Team.

To cope with all of the content “DOOL” is producing, the series has hired two more writers onto its staff. Roger Schroeder, a 55 year old from New Orleans began writing for the series on October 27. This is his first experience working in Daytime. Lacey Dyer joined the staff on October 20. The 25 year old previously worked on “Days” as a writer’s assistant from March 2, 2010-June 13, 2011. Days Of Our Lives Honoring Retired Veterans.

“Days Of Our Lives” will have real Veterans appearing on the show this January 2012 in order to honor U.S. troops dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Real life veterans will appear as themselves in  this episode which will focus on Marlena (Deidre Hall) trying to get Jack (Matt Ashford) help by taking him to a veteran’s hospital and visiting with patients who are struggling, like him, with their return home and with their own memories of being at war.  Read the rest of this entry »

Ian Buchanan Cast On Days Of Our Lives.

Wonder what’s up with all of those strange phone calls Madison (Sarah brown) has been making? You’re about to get an answer. Soap vet Ian Buchanan has joined the cast as a super rich businessman who has a hold on her. The character of Ian McAllister promises to be as dangerous as he is charming. Viewers may recognize Buchanan for his role on “The Bold And The Beautiful” (ex-Dr. James Warwick), and “All My Children” (ex-Dr. Greg Madden). Soap Opera Digest has reported that Lisa De Cazotte will be joining as Co-Executive Producer of “Days of Our Lives.” De Cazotte will be replacing Noel Maxam immediately. She is no stranger to Daytime, having previously worked on “General Hospital,” “All My Children” and other soaps.
