Will and Sonny wander into the pub. Brent shows up to meet them. Sonny thanks him for all of his hard work. Brent is looking forward to his vacation and wonders if Sonny will come with him. Sonny says he’s busy. Chad arrives. They all yap about the project. Will looks left out. He announces he’s going and Chad offers to drop Ari’s hat off to her in the park. The lads notice Chad seemed to be a bit down. When Sonny steps away, Will starts getting defensive and orders Brent to back off from his man. Brent thinks Will has ‘a case of you’re so wrong’, claiming that Sonny is not his type at all. Offended, he leaves. Sonny returns and wonders what happened. Will fills him in. Gabi goes into Rafe’s hospital room. He’s agitated and wants to talk to Sami. She reluctantly explains that Sami is in jail. He asks her to send a message. Meanwhile, Sami paces her cell and notices that EJ is unusually calm. He claims he’s just optimistic. She assumes he must have taken matters into his own hands. Gabi shows up so EJ heads off. Gabi shows Sami a video message which Rafe made for her. He says that he believes she’s innocent and thanks her for saving his life. Sami sobs. Read the rest of this entry »
At the apartment, Will and Sonny discuss Sami. Will learns she didn’t get bail and leaves. Brent arrives and they look over Sonny’s plans. Brent invites Sonny on a hiking trip. They drink beer and Sonny says he’d love to go with him…and Will, but they can’t leave right now.
Lucas visits Sami at her cell. He just got back from out of town, and says the kids miss her. Sami asks him how the hell she’ll get out of this one. Lucas asks about Bernardi. Sami says she can’t prove it, but she knows Stefano sent him to Rafe’s room with the razor. Lucas feels bad – they should have got things right. Sami wishes everyone could have seen Bernardi like she did. Lucas assures her he’s there for her. She ‘s moved. Later, Sami asks the guard for water. He drops the bottle beyond her reach.
In Kayla’s office, she tells EJ there’s a good chance Sami’s bullet didn’t kill Bernardi. EJ wants to know more. Kayla explains that it was strange Bernardi went into arrest in recovery. “Bernardi shouldn’t have died. Not from that gun shot.” EJ asks what they’re supposed to do. Kayla says they must exhume the body and do another autopsy. She agrees to oversee it if he files the paperwork.
In the hospital waiting area, Kate warns Gabi that Rafe may be called to testify against Sami. Meanwhile, Rafe dreams that Stefano is choking him and then awakens. The nurse tells Kate and Gabi he’s awake. They agree not to tell Rafe about testifying. Kate lets Rafe know he’s stuck with her, and then he visits with Gabi. They discuss Ari, and then Nick. Gabi says it’s starting to feel like it’s over.
Cameron goes into Kayla’s office and shows her Chad’s CT scan. She says it could be nothing, or something serious. She agrees with him seeing a specialist in the morning and offers to talk to Chad. Cameron says he’ll handle it.
Nick meets Vargas in the square. Vargas confronts him about not being okay – he’s letting Jensen mess up his life all over again. Nick reminds him he tried to use it against him. Vargas says he was wrong, and tells Nick he’s a survivor. Nick sees Gabi has texted.
Nick greets Gabi in the hospital waiting area. He misses her. She misses him too; the good times. They go in to see Rafe. Gabi leaves them alone. Rafe tells Nick he’s sorry what happened to him in prison, but he went there for a reason. He complains about him plotting to separate to Will and Gabi and treating Will and Sonny like crap. Rafe says now he has to prove he’s a different man…or not. Nick says he’s not the reason he’s there. Rafe knows. It’s about the only thing he’s not blaming on him.
In the park, Chad makes Stefano laugh by asking if he sent Bernardi to kill Rafe. Stefano denies it. Chad can’t believe Sami would kill a cop for no reason. Stefano agrees it’s outrageous. Chad says what’s outrageous is Stefano not being involved – he’s not buying it. They bicker. Stefano warns him it’s a bad mistake to turn on him.
In the square, Stefano tells Cecily it went better than expected with his son.
Outside Brady’s Pub, Kate spots Chad, who says Stefano swore he didn’t send Bernardi to kill Rafe. Chad asks her about Stefano’s word. She admits he never gave his word and then lied to her face. He thinks Stefano told him the truth.
Lucas and Will meet up outside somewhere. They discuss Sami. Lucas insists she’ll get through this and land on her feet like always.
Will visits Sami. He says they’ll find a way to fight this. EJ appears. “We already have.” Will goes. Sami asks EJ what’s going on. He tells her Kayla thinks there’s a chance her bullet didn’t kill Bernardi. She thinks someone wanted to make sure Bernardi didn’t wake up and tell who he was working for. EJ says, “Stefano.” EJ tells her they have to exhume the body. This may be the last night she spends there.
Will returns home. Brent leaves. Will asks what they were talking about. Sonny says Brent wanted him to go on a hiking trip. Sonny tells Will what he told him. Will thinks he should go on the hike and not put things off because of him and Arianna. Sonny just wants to be there with him.
Still in the square, Stefano gets a call. He asks, “When did this happen?” He seems concerned. Stefano chuckles when he hears what their next move will be.

Eric is uncomfortable when Kristen shows up in his office to tell him she has something that could shock a lot of people. She tells him that she’s a lousy Catholic and needs some spiritual nourishment. Kristen vents about her family and then Marlena. “If you know you’re going to Hell, what’s the point in trying?” she asks. They discuss redemption. She feels free of all duty and responsibility. He probes. After more theological debating, the DiMera angles for an invitation to the opening ceremony for the school. She wants to meet the bishop and promises not to cause a scene. Ciara runs in with her friend Jamie. They chat about the new school changing lives. The priest takes the children for a tour. “What the hell are you looking at?” Kristen asks Jesus. At the office, Hope gets a call about the prison release letter she was supposed to have received. She lectures some cop for not giving it to her. He explains he gave it to Ciara “He’s lying!” lies Ciara. Hope sends the cop away and asks her daughter for the truth. Ciara points to the letter right behind her mom’s desk. Hope heads to the rectory to see Vargas. She shows him Jensen’s mug shot and explains he’s free. He’s shocked that anyone would ever let him out. Hope’s clueless about what to do so he suggests she talk to Nick. He explains that Jensen targeted Nick, beat him and raped him, but Nick got revenge. Read the rest of this entry »
Ciara is in the square with the envelope of doom. Nicole pops up and asks what she’s doing. “It’s private. You know what means?” Ciara shoots back. Caroline shows up and sits with Nic while Ciara and Johnny play My Little Pony. Nic and Ma Brady discuss Eric, Rafe and Sami’s idiocy. Meanwhile, Johnny asks Ciara to show him what’s in her envelope. She tells him what’s in her envelope isn’t for boys. He tries to take it from her Caroline comes over and stops them. Johnny grabs the envelope when Ciara isn’t looking. Read the rest of this entry »
At Casa DiMera, Kristen tells Brady that she’s not turning her back on her family and, if he can’t handle it, they should call the wedding off. This doesn’t make sense to him. She explains that he’s too good and she’ll hurt him. Kristen begs him to take the exit she’s giving him. He’s still confused. Maggie barges in with a wedding gift. Kristen leaves them alone. Someone lurks outside of Jenn’s as she departs, noting the door was open. Over at the hospital, Daniel is chatting with Maxine. They wonder where Anne is. The babysitter brings Parker in. “G’morning little duuuuude!” the doctor growls as he picks him up. Jenn arrives. “Holy barnacles!” Daniel says. She pulls out the train she sat on this morning and hand sit to the kid. Jenn and Dan make out. Anne shows up and gags. Jenn heads to her office and Anne follows her. Milbauer rolls up her sleeves and threatens to fully enforce the hospital’s codes of conduct and that means no more PDAs. Daniel appears as Milbauer lectures. After Jenn walks off, Anne tells ‘golden boy’ that his magic hands do not not make him the boss of her. He explains that Chloe told him about the shady things she helped her do. The doctor threatens to tell Mr. Burns if she misbehaves again. Jenn returns. “High-ho, it’s back to work I go,” says Anne, walking off. She huffs and puffs and complains to Maxine about the Horton. She’s sure that someone will teach her a lesson. Back at the Horton house, someone picks up a photo of Jenn and Daniel. Read the rest of this entry »
Kate and Rafe lounge in his bed when her phone starts ringing. He won’t let her out of bed. They start doing it as Stefano calls. The phone keeps ringing. She finally checks her messages and pulls a face. Reluctantly, she tells him Stefano is back in town. He offers to talk to her ex but she doesn’t think it’s a good idea to rattle his cage. She assures Rafe that she doesn’t love Stefano anymore. What they had was like the Stockholm Syndrome. “Does this mean I have to make you my prisoner?” he jokes. They make out. Chloe calls Daniel and offers to come over and help him with their son. Brady shows up at the doctor’s. He starts quizzing him about Jenn. Meanwhile, over at the mansion, Victor sarcastically tells Chloe he’s over the moon to have her back in town. She begins lecturing him about how non-child friendly and environmentally unhealthy the mansion is. She forbids him from going near Parker until he switches dry cleaning companies. The diva begins insisting that the ducts be cleaned. That doesn’t go well. He lectures her for destroying the men in his family. She trashes Philip and Brady until he gives her the boot. That puts a smile on her face. She heads straight to Daniel’s and informs him that Victor has thrown her out. Chloe moans about having nowhere to go so he suggests she move in there. He leaves to sort a few things out. Chloe is pretty happy with herself since she has no idea that the doctor is calling a hotel to book himself a room. Read the rest of this entry »
