Friends Again.

Gabi nearly faints at the pub. Nick keeps her awake. She claim she’s fine bur he insists on taking her to the ER. Meanwhile, Lucas shows up in Sami’s office. They yap about the Nicole business. When she says their son will be dropping by, he says he has to go. She guesses he’s avoiding Will. He complains that Sonny is pushing their son. Will arrives. He tells his dad that who he sees is not his call. The men bicker. Lucas insists that this isn’t about him being gay. Will stomps off. His parents bicker. She accuses him of being a bigot. He thinks Sonny is ‘bird dogging’ their son. Sami urges him to try to be a good guy. She runs over to the pub looking for Nick. She hears he’s at the ER with Gabi so she calls Rafe. Sami jogs over to the hospital. Nick is waiting in the hall and and picking his teeth. Sami runs in and decides to burst into the exam room. She begins questioning Gabi, who isn’t happy to hear that Rafe knows she’s there. Cameron comes in with the results of her blood work. He asks Sami to go. “Is something wrong?” Sami interrogates. I Messed Up Again.

Hope is at Jenn’s, getting an update about Nicole. Jenn actually feels bad for what happened. The cop wonders what she’ll do and tells her that she’s not responsible for anything that happened. Meanwhile, Nicole is in her hospital bed recalling how Daniel tried to stop her from offing herself. “I messed up again,” she complains to herself. Brady pops up to say she still has him. She’s not in the mood for visitors. Snapping, she tells him she would do what she did again. He doesn’t believe that. She moans about how she constantly screws up love and ends up with nothing. Brady tries to hug her but she asks him to go. Later, Jenn shows up. Nic makes it clear that she won’t apologize. They bicker about Daniel. Jenn’s sorry if she pushed her to the breaking point. Nicole is not impressed. She mockingly claps and says they will never be BFFs and she will never forgive her. Nic orders her out. Back at Jenn’s, Hope tries on the family pilgrim hat. Daniel shows up. They chat about Jenn. She assures him that her cousin doesn’t blame him for any of this. He waits around for awhile. When he leaves, he runs into Jenn on the porch. She tells him things didn’t go well with Nic. And then she went to see the DA… Meanwhile, Hope shows up at the hospital. “You’re here to arrest me, aren’t you?” Nicole asks the cop. The Genie And Her Bro.

Kristen drops in to see EJ in his office. She says she can help him get what he wants. “Are you some sort of genie?” he asks. He’s resistant since she works for his father. “You’re my bro,” she objects. He hauls out reasons why that doesn’t matter. She tries bonding with him about losing a baby. That doesn’t work so she talks to him about Samanther. “The heart wants what the heart wants,” she says. He pretends to read and she counts the tiles on the ceiling. She needles him about Rafe claiming paternity of his son and asks him what he’ll do now that he has dirt on the cop. He claims he doesn’t want to be vindictive. “That is so smart,” she fawns, saying acting magnanimous will impress Sami. He admits it and she tells him any woman could see through that. Kristen offers to help take care of Sami for him. He doubts that will work considering her past with Sami’s mom. She declares the past is irrelevant and promises to send him Sami by the end of the day. After she departs, he calls his father and orders him to get his sister to back off. At Daniel’s, Nicole tells him she has a way to take control of her destiny. He makes coffee and she explains that there is a law in Utah that will deny the biological father most parental rights. He won’t let her move to Utah by herself and points out that the child would need an adoptive father. Nic hugs him and asks him if he is willing to adopt. The doctor thinks this should be their last resort. The pregnant lady says she is being driven crazy by dreams. She beats herself up and he promises to stick by her and the baby. He runs off to work. She wants retail therapy. Later, she winds up at the hospital and tells Maxine that she is living with Dr. Dan now. “Lord help that man,” sighs Maxine. Dr. Sedwig pops up to say that she’s filling in for Nic’s regular obgyn today before she leaves for South America later that day. They start the check-up. Chad storms into the pub and threatens to reveal everything that Gabi did. He wants to make her pay. They argue about who drove Mel away. He’s about to call the cops when Nick gets between them. He threatens to tell the cops about Chad pulverizing him. He’s sure the SPD would be happy to put a DiMera away. “Good luck trying to live with yourself,” Chad says. Nick announces that they are going to talk to Justin. Bo strolls in and advises Nick to stay out of trouble. Later, at the mansion, Gabi thanks Nick after he’s had Chad swear a deposition clearing her. She thinks he’s gone above and beyond for her. “How I feel about you is above and beyond,” he says. Sami runs into her son in the square and announces she has a gift for him. She tells him that EJ has resigned. He worries that she’s thinking of getting back with Elvis. He admits that he likes EJ, “But how I feel about him doesn’t matter.” Will says EJami are always a disaster. She takes him to her place and hands him a giant gift. The topic stays on EJ. She freaks him out by speaking reasonably. He finally opens his present. It’s a jacket. “Wow,” he says, before saying that she’s been ‘all over the map’ with men lately. He tells her to be sure for once. She starts probing him about his love life. He says there isn’t one. Will heads to the pub and bumps into Tad, who makes some gay jokes and a vague remark about Sonny. William needs an explanation. Read the rest of this entry »

At the hospital, Nicole gets Daniel to feel the baby kicking her gut. He talks about miracles. Brady interrupts. The doctor gets called away. Brady accuses Nic of having ‘it bad for the good doctor’. At her place, Rafe admits to Sami that he could never hate her. She wants to know how he feels. EJ shows up, looks at Sami’s chest and licks his lips before declaring he has a surprise. Rafe makes himself scarce. EJ asks Sami to lunch at the Green Mountain Lodge. He already arranged for a babysitter. He wants to pick up where they left off and prove how important she is to him. She tells him there can’t be any more lying, kidnapping or cloning. “Dull dull dull,” he groans. They start kissing. Hope shows up. She informs them that the charges against them have been dropped but the governor wants to meet EJ and demand his resignation. He’s already in town. When Daniel gets to the bottom of the rubbish heap, he discovers Nicole is not there. Bo notices there is a doorway there so they assume she used it. The doctor asks Hope if she’s heard anything about his daughter. Bo hears some coughing so they dig through another pile and find some random woman. Daniel checks her over for injuries. After the paramedics take her away, Daniel runs outside and finds Nicole drifting around the square. She starts going into shock. She’s verging on labor and he’s determined to stop it. At the pub, Daniel tells Nicole that she’s crazy and he’s crazy too. “Want to have some crazy fun?” he asks. He wants some ‘ball play’ right there and then. She’s not so sure until he points to the basketball game in the corner. She’s reluctant but he talks her into it. He teases her as she loses so she challenges him to up the ante. She offers to buy him a surf board if he wins and she will take whatever she wants if she does. The playing resumes and she beats him.
