Ian runs into Kate in the square and asks her to join him for champagne. She needs to meet Brady and Madison. He groans. She asks him again if he’s been doping Brady up. Ian says that addicts relapse. Kate seems unconvinced. She gets a call from Madison and rushes off. He makes a call to one of his minions and orders them to keep a close watch on Brady Black. At Casa DiMera, Will confronts EJ about not being a DiMera. After a long silence, EJ tries to talk his way out of this. Will smirks, revealing that the letter from Alice is gone. EJ twists like he has ants in his pants. “You’re on thin ice,” he tells Will, who guffaws. EJ acts like nothing has changed so Will hammers home how damaging this revelation could be. Elvis asks him what he wants. Will makes it clear he’s not giving up the letter. He wants his car and apartment back. EJ kicks him the keys. Will wants a salary now that his internship is done and he wants power. He wants to have another person’s fate in his hands. “I want to be you,” Will explains. EJ’s flattered but doesn’t see that happening. Will wants to be his right hand man. Elvis can’t give him what he wants because he knows that, at his core, Will is no DiMera. William reminds him he’s no DiMera either. He thinks that two non-DiMeras running the empire would be great revenge on Stefano. This infuriates EJ. Will explains that the letter is already in someone else’s hands with instructions to send it to the cops if anything happens to him. They rehash their past blackmail schemes and Will challenges him to call the cops. Will knows that EJ can be self-destructive, but he’s sure he’s not stupid enough to cross him. “We’ve taken our relationship to the next level,” Will says, before adding, “I own you now.” Read the rest of this entry »

At Casa DiMera, Will discovers Alice’s letter and gasps. EJ strolls in and asks him to go and fetch a package. It’s money from one of his shady deals. Will starts making vague statements and says he can help him more if he knows more. Elvis tells him just to be grateful and sends him off. After Will smugly walks out, he takes the letter to the pub and locks it in the safe. Sonny walks in and Will excitedly offers him a free meal. Marlena and Carrie are in the square hyperventilating over baby clothes. Sami walks by and asks what’s going on. From the baby clothes, she guesses. Marlena tries to keep things cool but Sami starts sputtering about being the last to know. Carrie wishes she’d told her sooner. “Who is the father? My husband or yours?” Sami asks. Carrie avoids answering but her sister won’t relent. “I don’t live like you. I don’t have to look at the calendar to figure it out,” Carrie explains, insisting she never slept with Rafe. Sami accuses her of stealing her husband. Carrie reminds her she boffed Elvis. She rubs this in her sister’s face. Sami tries storming off. Carrie wishes the baby were Rafe’s. “You would deserve it!” she says. Marlena has to stop Sami from pounding on the pregnant lady. The shrink lectures Sami for being a crummy sister. “She still has to go through labor. That’s a lot worse than this,” Sami complains. Her mom orders her to act happy about the baby. Sami doesn’t want to join Team Carrie. She rails at both of them and storms off. Her mom trails after her but Sami power walks away. Carrie plays with a teddy bear until her mom returns. Everyone heads to Chez Rouge after Lexi’s funeral. Abe is still reeling. “It’s not right,” he tells John and Marlena. Across the room, Steve sends some condolences by text to Kayla. She vents about him to Jack and Jenn. He offers to talk to Steve but she says the marriage is over. Bo and Hope walk in to hear this. Bo is shocked. His sister explains that she was waiting and hoping for things to change but they didn’t. Hope thinks Steve must just be having a mid-life crises. Kay says it’s divorce time. Her brother hugs her. Roman and his shadow drop by the townhouse. He tells John and Marlena that they both passed the residue test… but Will didn’t. They’re shocked. Marlena would stake her life on Will being innocent. That sounds suspicious to Roman. “What is wrong with you?” Marlena snipes. Roman tells them they need to follow procedure. He’s being brutally honest and he’s noticed that the people close to him are lying. Roman gets a call telling him that EJ posted Will’s bail. They wonder why. Marlena keeps insisting that Will couldn’t hurt a fly. She spouts off and accuses Roman of only caring about Stefano. He insists that this is not easy for him and the investigation is not over. He explains that the governor’s men will be taking over the investigation soon, especially since he is closely connected to most of the suspects. Abe leads Lexi, blindfolded, into the square where there is a Paris-themed gathering set up for her. Abe tells Lexi, “Je t’aime.” They dance. Abigail tells Cameron Lexi looks happy. He says he couldn’t have done this without EJ. Abigail says she has a brother too – it turns out Cameron went to the same boarding school JJ is at. Melanie sits on Chad’s knee and gets sketched. Gabi appears. Abigail notices her unhappily watching Chad with Mel. Lexi goes to thank EJ for helping out, and for getting along with Abe. EJ admits to his sister that he’s not okay. Lexi thinks good things will happen for him – he’s a good man. Celeste watches Abigail with Cameron and reads the tarot cards with a dark look. Cameron accuses Celeste of using the cards to disguise her dislike for Abigail. Abigail has joined Melanie, Gabi, and Chad, who says Gabi is getting weird phone calls from her stalker. Cameron joins his mom and sister in the square with Abe. Lexi explains that she’s had another scan and they’ve discovered her time is less than she was expecting. She informs her family that she is not seeking any more treatment. She refuses to spend her final days suffering from therapies that can’t save her. Her brother urges her to reconsider. She shakes her head and her family has to accept her choice. Cameron’s not ready to lose the sister he just found. She makes them all promise to keep her impending death a secret from Theo.
