Cookie Date.

Jack takes Jenn to the pub. He explains that it’s closed for a private party… for them. He shows her in and points to a table covered with cookies and decorations. He explains they are part of their date. They’re going to decorate them and give them to children in the hospital for Halloween. She’s surprised he would come up with this. “You’re meeting a brand new guy,” he says. He doesn’t want a ‘do-over’ he wants a ‘do-better’. Jack confesses that the ‘cookie date’ is about more than just a date. As they decorate, he tells her about a little boy he met in Afghanistan. He met a lot of kids with no family or future. Seeing how upset he is, she suggests he write it down. Although he’ll never forget what he saw, he could never turn it into a story. They rehash how he nearly cost Abby her life once. How’s It Feel?

At Casa DiMera, Taylor demands the truth from EJ. “You can’t be serious?” he answers before ranting. She still wants to know if what he’s being accused of is true. EJ starts barking that he had nothing to do with her mom’s demise. She demands to know if he brought the creature to town. He claims he isn’t lying to her and never would. Sami insists that he is. Hope backs her up and says EJ is guilty of murder among other things. Eventually, Taylor realizes EJ has been lying. She blows up and tells him that he’s disgusting and she’s not the idiot he thinks she is. She thought he had a heart but the only person he loves is himself. Rafe starts ranting about how EJ is worse than his father. Johnny comes down and listens in. Eventually, he interrupts. Rafe and Sami pick him up and he starts interrogating his father, demanding to know why Rafe said he was evil. Taylor runs out. Johnny spots RoboRafe so the cops lead him out. EJ promises his son he will explain everything in the morning. Johnny runs upstairs. Elvis wants to go after him but his father stops him. “My son effectively took our family down tonight,” Stefano says. He blames him for ruining the entire operation with all of his restrictions and screwing things up. “You did this you stupid fool!” he rants. He’s disgusted and walks out. Turning around, EJ tries to stop Sami and Rafe from taking his son. “Take me home Rafe,” Johnny says, telling his father he’s a bad man. Sami smirks at Elvis. “How’s it feel?” she asks as she slams the door. He sits on the floor with a picture of his son and cries. Read the rest of this entry »

The New One Is Boring.

At the hospital, Carly thanks Daniel for his bowl of soup. She’s disturbed when he explains that he’s going away for the weekend. With some prodding, he admits Jennifer is going with him. He reminds her that she pushed them together and offers to play matchmaker for her. Carly doesn’t like that idea. As he walks off, she mumbles about how she could be happy with him. Maxine wanders by and tells Carly she should go home if she’s still sick. She bustles off and Carly swipes the keys to the medicine room. Sneaking in, she tries to battle off thoughts of Dannifer by filling her purse with pills. She goes back to her room, cracks open a bunch of pills and starts snorting them. Dealing With Disaster.

On the pier, Viv tells Gus how delightful is was to stick it to Carly. They start plotting to break into Casa DiMera. He tells her Kate will be out for a facial. “Isn’t that like sweeping the beach?” Viv snipes. Later, Philip and Chloe wander down to the pier and she tells him how nice he is. Viv returns looking for her scarf and starts sniping at Chloe. “Dealing with her is like dealing with disaster,” she snipes. He threatens to throw her into the water. Viv continues trashing Chloe. He starts strangling her with her scarf and then stops and pats her on the back. “When you come to the waterfront, you run into the scum of the earth,” he says as he leads Chloe away. They go to the pub and she worries about Parker. Philip’s more worried about her and encourages her to go back to singing. A random guitar player walks in and asks her to sing. Out For Blood.

At the Safe loft, Sami cries when Rafe announces they should get married tonight. She hopes this is a plan to solve all of her problems. That’s part of it, but a big part of it is that he loves her. He warns her that Bo said he might have to arrest her. She huffs and puffs so he tries to calm her down and claims the evidence against her isn’t good enough. Sami is sure it would take a miracle to get her out of this and she doesn’t deserve one. She’s exhausted with all the damage control everyone has to do but he won’t let her go through this alone. Rafe loves her because she makes his life less boring and asks her to marry him again. “Marrying you is the wedding of my dreams,” she coos. She doesn’t know how she could have gotten so lucky. Sobbing, she sends him off to get things ready so they can have a wonderful night. She wakes up the children and announces that she’s getting married tonight. Johnny’s happy but Will is concerned and assumes there is more going on. His mom’s not explaining. Meanwhile, Rafe heads to the pub and asks Gabi to be his best man or person. Considering Ari is barely cold and he’s marrying Sami, she’s not exactly in a wedding mood and doesn’t want to go. He says it would mean the world if she was there. Later, Caroline drops by Sami’s with something borrowed and something blue. They head down to the park with the kids for a candle and fairy light wedding. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m Really Happy.

Nicole wakes up in her hovel and sees Rafe sitting at the table. She guesses the snugglefest is over and asks what’s up. He holds up the CD. She leaps onto him. They wrestle and she rants at him for his lies and deceptive cuddles. Rafe explains that he hunted down her mom and orders her to tell him everything she knows. She refuses. He offers to do what he can to keep her out of prison. She claims this is about more than prison. Sobbing, she relates how terrified she is of EJ and begs him for protection. EJ calls to make sure that she isn’t going off the deep end. She says she has five million and will be fine. After she hangs up, she turns to Rafe. “Let’s make a deal,” she says. He offers her immunity and then sets up his recorder so she can explain everything. She explains what led up to the recording she made and then he turns the CD on. He listens to EJ and Stefano’s conversation. It stalls half way through. Rafe fiddles around and gets it going again. He hears the whole thing and smiles. “That’s all I need,” he says. Dude Holds A Grudge.

At Casa DiMera, Katie promises Madeline she won’t mention the document unless Stefano brings it up. When they talk about the old days when they were whores, Will just happens to walk by and overhear them. He gasps and scurries away. The women continue to talk until Stefano wanders in. Madeline claims she is just there to get some closure. He thinks she’s lying through her teeth. After they trade barbs, he drifts off and returns to his wife after Madeline leaves. Kate assures him ‘the hyphenated woman’ has been de-fanged and hands him some booze. They chat about Will and he explains that he is giving the boy an internship at DiMera Enterprises. She’s impressed that he is becoming so fond of Will. “I’ve begun to feel as if he’s my own grandson,” he says. Read the rest of this entry »

This Isn’t Over.

Sami is shocked when Rafe shows up at Casa DiMera. After an awkward moment, they hug. He tells her all about his misadventures and how Anna escaped again. Rafe says he won’t give up. Sami rants about his sister and he says he will figure out who has set her up. When he makes a joke about EJ getting bashed in the head, she jumps at him. He wonders what has been going on between them and why she is still there since the townhouse has been repaired. She says everyone is happy in the mansion and she was lonely. Sami insists that nothing is happening between she and EJ but he doesn’t believe her. She’s offended and says that he has no say in her life. He refuses to let EJ hurt her again. Baker counts his cash and heads for the door when Hope suddenly appears and refuses to let him go. She claims there is no turning back for either of them. He’s annoyed and confused so she offers to explain things. She says that she’s the detective on this case and all he needs to worry about is making easy money. He tries to leave. She pulls out her gun and orders him to hand over the money he stole from EJ’s account. Hope tears it up and then tears up. She grabs Baker’s arm and begs him not to go. The partner that she had is someone she loved… but now she’s all alone. As she sobs, he reaches out to her. She backs him off and tells him they’ll make a great team. Read the rest of this entry »

Are You Totally Out Of Your Mind?

At the hospital, Sami tells EJ they should have an honest conversation. Moving in with Stefano makes her want to running screaming, she explains, but that’s not exactly a ‘no’ to his invitation. She wonders why they can’t have their own place instead of living with Stefano. He claims it’s because his father is ill. When she leaves to think it over, Stefano watches her and groans. He wanders into his son’s room. Elvis tells him this would be easier if he and Kate hadn’t ruined Sami’s life. EJ says that Nicole tried to bash his head in and it’s sore. Stefano is amazed that a blow to the head didn’t knock some sense into him. Elvis begs his father to back up his story that he’s dying, but even he thinks Sami would be crazy to move in with him.
