Ciara and Caroline were out of town with Tommy Bear for the annual teddy bear picnic. That takes place far enough outside of town that they didn’t notice the little mushroom cloud that popped up outside of Salem. The explosion came just as Rafe confessed everything to Carrie and she admitted that she was still utterly smitten with his smirking face. With any chance at disarming the bomb gone, they started rolling up the carpets to soften the blast. Conveniently, this revealed a bomb shelter right underneath the safe house floor. Could that have been why it was chosen as a safe house in the first place? Who knows? The ISA certainly seemed pretty clueless. Luckily for the safe housers, the Salem Fire Department is about as competent as the police because they couldn’t find the massive concrete structure hidden a foot under the ground even when they were standing on. At the coffee house, Roman tries to keep Austin calm but he demands to see Carrie immediately. “Yesterday I thought Carrie was dead and I mourned her like a son of a bitch,” Austin says, insisting he needs to tell her how much he loves her. “Days Of Our Lives” star Arianne Zucker (Nicole) will be guest starring in the third season of web soap “DeVanity.” Zucker will play Julia Regis, the nasty sister of DeVanity business rival Andrew Regis, who just happens to be played by her real life husband Kyle Lowder (ex-Shawn, “DOOL,” ex-Rick, “B&B”). A group of former soap opera actors have come together to star in the upcoming film “Gabe The Cupid Dog,” written and directed by Michael Feifer. Keep an eye out for “As The World Turns’” Michael Woods (ex-Alec) as Mr. Caldwell, “The Bold And The Beautiful’s” Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget) as Lana, “Days Of Our Lives’” Ralph Waite (ex-Father Matt) as R.L. Dutton and Linden Ashby (ex-Paul) as Jerry, “One Life To Live’s” Barbara Niven (ex-Liz) as Ms. Andrews, and “The Young And The Restless’” Boti Bliss, (ex-Lynn) as Sara.
Since they are still alive, Carrie and Rafe decide to take advantage of it by finally giving their romance a shot. They tell Marlena. She warns them that they could get a lot of flak for this but she’s still supportive. The safe housers start brainstorming ways to take Stefano down. Her onscreen daughter, Molly Burnett (Melanie), was also nominated, placing her in competition with her frequent nemesis on the show, Shelley Hennig (Stephanie).
