General Hospital will air its 12,000th episode on February 23.
“In any climate, it is amazing that we have the opportunity to celebrate such a momentous occasion. This milestone honors the strength of the daytime drama and looks to the future that ‘General Hospital’ will continue to air many, many more episodes,” Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps has stated about this achievement. Jan Devereaux will be appearing as Iris starting on March 5.
Barry Saltzman will be playing a lab tech beginning on March 3.
Rick Overton will portray Robaire starting on March 8.
Hazel Calderon and Kristina Joy Gutierrez are going to be the U5 Casino Girls beginning on March 11.
John Burke is going to appear as Everett Dawson on February 24.
Dakin Matthews will play Judge Carroll on February 24.

When things fall apart.
While Josslyn was being christened, Sonny shot Dante just as the cop was arresting him. As soon as Dante had drooped to the floor, his mother ran in and revealed to Sonny that he just shoot his own son. They called an ambulance and she explained. He was rushed to the hospital. Sonny prayed to God and interpreted this as a punishment for the life he had chosen. He paced the corridors worrying. Patrick and Robin were called in to operate, though Steve insisted that he and Lisa perform the operation. Robin was left to try and keep Sonny under control. Read the rest of this entry »

Many viewers in the Washington area may have missed their favorite ABC soaps today due to snow coverage.
If you were one of them, you may be happy to know that ABC will air its soaps overnight on ABC Channel 8. All My Children will air at 3:00 AM, General Hospital at 4:00 AM and One Life to Live at 5:00 AM.

Spiraling out of control.
Sonny continues attempting to make things up to the son he shot, but Dante remains steadfast in refusing to have anything to do with him. Nonetheless, he still won’t speak out against him, if only for the sake of his newfound siblings. While Dante admits to Lulu that his feelings about his father are mixed, Jason continues to warn Sonny that Dante might destroy him. Sonny refuses to accept that and won’t let Jason make a move against the cop. Meanwhile, Michael faces up to what he’s done and makes a confession to Mac, but the cop may not believe him. Even with this, Sonny continues to insist on taking the fall for Michael. He turns to Carly for support and Jax walks in on them together. Read the rest of this entry »

GH’s Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) was injured on the Soap Cruise.
Anderson hurt his Achilles tendon playing basketball at the event, an injury which required a cast and possibly surgery. “Can’t wait to be home with @bfordsgirl and huck.
