Leaving Port Charles.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Jason Cook (Matt) will be exiting “General Hospital” in June. His official final air date has not yet been released, and while there is no word of a possible recast, fans of the show can guess his character is leaving the canvas for awhile. Cook  joined the show in 2008, and since then has appeared in two films, “Son Of An Afghan Farmer” and “Turbulent Skies,” as well as completing a third, “Young Again.”

The internet has been swamped with rumors that Brandon Barash (Johnny) would be killed off and leave the cast. Eventually, “General Hospital’s” Executive Producer Frank Valentini went on Twitter and addressed the issue straight ahead. Kristina Wagner will be back in Port Charles as Felicia Jones Scorpio beginning in the week of April 23.

A rep from “GH” has confirmed for Soap Opera Fan Blog that Kristina Wagner will be returning to the series. Wagner will be reprising the role of Felicia Cummings. She has played the role off and on since 1984. Wagner was last seen in Port Charles in 2008. Read the rest of this entry »

According to TVLine Lindsey Morgan has been cast to take over the role of Kristina Davis. The character left the series several months ago to attend Yale. Finola Hughes (Anna) has been back on the canvas for two months and it looks like her return will be more permanent than originally expected. “General Hospital’s” Executive Producer Frank Valentini announced that Hughes will be sticking around. It looks like we will finally find out who Delores’ (Rebeka Montoya) husband is. ABC Soaps In Depth has revealed that actor and model Christian Monzon has been cast as Eddie Cabrera. Sticking around.

Rebecca Herbst has renewed her contract to stay on “General Hospital” as Elizabeth Webber. She has been playing the role since 1997 but was briefly let go from the cast last year. It isn’t just the actors from “OLTL” who are coming to Port Charles. It has been announced that “GH” has now let go of its Emmy award winning music director RC Cates and replaced him with former “OLTL” music director Paul Glass. Cates worked at “GH” for more than twenty years.
