Add Rick Springfield to the growing list of alum returning for “General Hospital’s” 50th Anniversary. Per People, the actor is set to reprise his role of Patrick’s (Jason Thompson) absentee father Noah Drake. He has not started filming yet.

Per Soaps in Depth, a casting call has gone out for an 18 – 24-year-old to play a passionate and impulsive “raven haired beauty.” The role is contract and will begin airing in February.

Speculation was fueled about John Stamos returning to “General Hospital” in a Kin Shriner interview. Now, TV Guide Magazine is fanning the flames with an exclusive clip from Stamos’ upcoming February 18 interview on “The Jeff Probst Show.”
In the interview, Stamos reveals that he was asked to return to “General Hospital,” but he passed because they just wanted him to play the drums at the Nurses’ Ball. While he’d love to come back to the show that started his career, he wants something meatier to do than just play backup.
For those who don’t remember, as a teen, Blackie started living on the streets when his mother died. Rick (Chris Robinson) and Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) took him in and he helped Rick open a youth center. He formed a band, which was eventually fronted by Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner). Genie Francis announced on “Katie” that Rachel Ames will return as Audrey Hardy for the 50th anniversary at the end of March. Ames played Audrey from 1964 – 2009. Watch the interview from February 14.
In an interview with TV Guide Magazine, it was revealed that Scotty will return during the Haunted Star’s Valentine’s Day party. The first person he sees? His nemesis Luke (Anthony Geary) of course. Kin Shriner also teased that the show will touch on the fact that Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) killed his son Logan (Josh Duhon) in 2008. When asked if John Stamos would be returning as Blackie for the 50th anniversary, Shriner replied, “I’m sure Stamos will come back because he knows ‘GH’ started his career. And, of course, Ricky Dean Anderson [ex-Jeff Webber]. We need to get MacGyver back in the mix! She hasn’t been seen in Port Charles since 2010, but according to Soap Opera Digest, Bobbie Spencer will grace our screens once again. Jacklyn Zeman will reprise her role just in time for “General Hospital’s” 50th Anniversary. Her first airdate will be March 21.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Erin Hershey is reprising her role of Alison Barrington, who she portrayed on “Port Charles,” on January 30. She will be part of Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) storyline.
Wagner played Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) absentee father on and off from 1984 – 1995. The actor also played Nick Marone on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 2003 – 2012.
Frisco was last heard of in 2007 when Felicia (Kristina Wagner) revealed she and her ex-husband Frisco had reunited and were working together again for the WSB. Obviously that didn’t last, as Felicia is now back in Port Charles, having reunited with Mac (John York).
Yesterday, it was announced that Genie Francis is returning to GH. Today, we learned another vet is coming home to Port Charles. Soaps in Depth has revealed that Jon Lindstrom will reprise his role as Dr. Kevin Collins beginning January 30. He will reportedly return just as Lucy (Lynn Herring) gets herself in a jam. The status of their relationship will be revealed.
Lindstrom played Kevin on “General Hospital” from 1994 – 1997 and briefly again in 2004. He took the character to “Port Charles” from 1997 – 2003. The actor went on to play Craig Montgomery on “As the World Turns” from 2008 – 2010. There’s no word on how long he’ll stick around “GH,” but Lindstrom took to Twitter to credit the fans for his return.
Genie Francis will join the slew of vets who have returned to “General Hospital” this past year. Per Entertainment Weekly, she will start taping scenes as Laura Webber Spencer this month and begin airing February 11.
