Rumor has it that Kelly Monaco’s days as Sam McCall may be numbered.

A casting call has gone out for a “early 30s, female, Caucasian, brunette, sexy, dynamic and fiery…SERIES REGULAR. This is a character who has been established on the show.” It’s widely believed that this means that Monaco will be replaced. General Hospital’s Steve Burton staying put.

In an effort to halt suggestions that he would be leaving Port Charles behind, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) issued this statement on Twitter: “Confirming that I am staying at GH. Excited. Thank you for all for your support.”

Here’s the latest casting news for Port Charles!

Davin Ransom will start playing Spencer Cassadine beginning on August 13.

Leslie Charleson has signed on for another year as Monica Quartermainer.

Brian Norris will play a cop who gets in Jason and Sam’s way on July 31.

Amy Castle (Viki, Passions) played the part of Tara on the July 20.

Cara Pifko has been placed on recurring status as Louise Addison, the Assistant District Attorney. We first saw her on July 10.

Greg Vaughn (Lucky) recently explained on his Twitter page that he has not been placed on recurring status, he just gets little airtime.

Christian Alexander will be playing Kristina’s friend Kiefer on a recurring basis.

If you’re a fan of Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), you’ll be happy to know that she has now been placed on contract! Expect to see her sticking around town for awhile.

Here’s the latest casting news for Port Charles!

Look for Sebatian Roche to return as Jerry for a brief visit in July.

Christian Alexander will be playing Kristina’s friend, Kiefer, who gets into a fight with Michael on June 18.

Dakota Mitchell will be playing Callahan. Jason will have to defend Sam from him on June 15.

Kathryn Condidorio will play Brianna Hughes, the Mayor’s mistress, on June 10.

Ronnie Marmo will be joining the cast on July 9. The nature of his character still has not been released.

Lexi Ainsworth will be making her first appearance as the SORASed Kristina on June 4. Read more here.

Dominic Zamprogna will be coming to town as Dominic. Word has it that he will be helping Claudia with her latest scheme. He arrives on June 22. You can read more about him here.

Aaron Refvem took over the role of the freshly SORASed Morgan this week. The young actor may already be familiar to some from his various stints on TV. It looks like Port Charles is going to have another young man on its summer canvas.

Dominic Zamprogna will be arriving on General Hospital on June 22. By a twist of fate, the actor will be playing a character who also happens to be named Dominic. Rumor has it that Claudia will be bringing him to town to help execute her latest scheme. Although not exactly a new character, viewers will be treated to an entirely new version of a character they may not know very well. Sonny and Alexis’ daughter, Kristina, is being magically aged into a teenager this summer. The latest casting news in Port Charles.

The Arizona Diamondbacks’ first baseman Conor Jackson will be popping into Port Charles to play Michael’s physical therapist on June 3.

Fan fave Emma Samms will be finishing up her brief stint as Holly on May 29.

Constance Towers will be coming to town as Helena, a woman who just may blow the lid off of the mystery that is Rebecca. Look for her on June 4.

Scott Damian’s Fredo will be dealing with Jason on May 29.

Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) is leaving the show in June. He will be heading back to Bold and the Beautiful and his old role as Whip Jones in mid July.

Debuting in early summer will be a twelvish Morgan (played by Aaron Refvem) and a sixteenish Kristina (played by Lexi Ainsworth).

Also making a summer appearance will be the lucky young man who is finally cast to play Dante Falconeri. He will start shooting in early June and viewers will get their first glimpse of him in mid-July.
