Back from the dead?
TV Guide is reporting the latest “General Hospital” alum to return is Chris Robinson, who played Rick Webber in the 70s and 80s. However, his brief stint in 2002, left Rick dead after Scotty (Kin Shriner) clocked him in the head with a candlestick.
The character will reportedly appear on April 1 in scenes with his former lover Monica (Leslie Charleson). No word on the circumstances surrounding his return, but head writer Ron Carlivati told the magazine that he didn’t recognize the Rick Webber who turned into a villain in 2002. While he won’t “rework” the story of his death, Carlivati stated, “We did figure out a very surprising and appropriate way to incorporate him into the anniversary. There will be a nice, emotional payoff for the audience.”
