Epiphany visited a withdrawn Patrick at home. When he refused to join the surgical rotation, Epiphany pulled out Ewen’s file. Patrick passed on his co-worker’s surgery. She ordered the scruffy widower to look in the mirror and decide if he was who Emma needed him to be. After a visit and guilt trip from Elizabeth, Patrick arrived clean-shaven at GH to perform Ewen’s surgery. It was a success and Ewen asked to see Liz when he woke up.

Returns, regrets and revelations.

Jason prevented Connie from getting on a plane at the airport and brought Kate out. Jason brought her to GH, but she was promptly handcuffed to her hospital bed for attacking Ewen. Kate was devastated to learn all that Connie had done while she was in charge. She tried to explain to Sonny and while he wasn’t having any of it, he still secretly asked Alexis to represent his ex. Olivia, on the other hand, eventually came around with sympathy for her cousin.

The jig is up.

After a catfight with “Kate” in the lobby of the Metro Court, Carly faced Johnny to give him a piece of her mind. Or, more to the point, a knee to the groin. During Johnny’s attempt at an explanation for why he slept with Kate, he told Carly about Kate’s DID. Although wary, she relayed the information to Jason, who thought it made perfect sense and even supposed Connie was the one who shot out Anthony’s tires. He took off to find Connie, who was battling Kate for control at the airport, as she prepared to flee Port Charles. Jason showed up to stop her.

Shocked and confused.

As Carly admitted to Luke that she had feelings for Johnny, Kate showed up at Johnny’s after trashing Sonny’s cake. She called the mob boss over so he could catch her with his rival. That worked. Sonny was furious. Johnny taunted him and Carly arrived as Sonny stormed off. Johnny tried to explain. Carly was even more shocked that he kept calling Kate ‘Connie’. After Johnny yelled at Connie, Kate returned and freaked out. He started having regrets too. Carly ran over to Sonny’s and tried pulling him into bed. He stopped her, insisting that he loved Kate. Laying blame.

Sonny warned his son to stay away from Starr. Michael asked Starr if she was using him. She claimed not. Across town, Jason went to see Kate as she was in the middle of a meltdown. He didn’t know what to do so he called his boss. Sonny refused to think there was anything wrong. Kate ran off to vent to Ewen. He thought it was time she was committed. She agreed but wanted to break the news to Sonny. A verdict came in for his trial before she could. He was found not guilty. Johnny was not amused. Carly asked him if he framed her ex. He was offended. They argued and made out. Meanwhile, Michael planted the idea that Johnny killed Cole in Starr’s head. She just wanted to leave town but went to see Johnny instead. He badmouthed Sonny and offered her a recording deal as well as a chance to see Sonny go down. She took the offer. Going to trial.

Kate begged Ewen to save her from Connie but he insisted that they needed to meld the personalities or risk losing all control. Meanwhile, Michael argued with Starr about his father’s guilt and then met up with him and Carly to offer his support. She went off to see Johnny and they talked about getting serious with each other until Sonny and Kate wandered by. Bickering erupted. Sonny and Kate went home. Patrick paid Maxie a visit in court. He didn’t blame her for Robin’s death, no matter how much she wanted him to. She still pled guilty. Spinelli ran off to moan to Jason, who suggested that he track down Lisa’s real killer. Jason went across town where Michel was comforting Starr. Back and forth.

Robin’s ashes were delivered to Patrick in a box. Emma was confused about why she wasn’t in Heaven so he threw her a tea party. He spread the ashes on the site of their dream home. Meanwhile, Robin woke up in a mysterious room and had no clue where she was. Back at the hospital, Ewen finally admitted to Liz that he was the one who saved her from drowning. Anna confronted Patrick about Lisa. He told her about the affair and Lisa terrorizing them. Anna wanted to take Emma away to protect her but he explained that his stalker was dead. She tore into him about this and then went on a bender. Luke was there to listen to her moan. He told her why he quit drinking and offered Coleman cash to change the name of the bar to “The Floating Rib.” Patrick went home and his father showed up to pay his condolences.
