While visiting his father in jail, Trey was instructed to marry Kristina in order to bring down Sonny. Trey went to Kristina and told her he was pulling the plug on “Mafia Princess.” She was confused, but he explained he cared about her and didn’t want to pit her against her father. He also told her they were free to date now. He kissed her, but she stopped him when he wanted to take it to the bedroom. She told him about Kiefer. He was obviously affected and told his dad they had to call off their plan. Joe convinced him to stick with it. Sonny paid Joe a visit to find out how he knew about Kate’s baby. Joe explained Kate’s priest told him, but when he went to the boarding house, he learned the baby had died.

Big reveals.

After Todd came down from his fury over Blair’s engagement to Tomas, he watched the footage of Connie and Johnny discussing who really killed Cole and Hope. When Todd heard it was Johnny, he beelined it over to the new club owner’s office to confront him. Todd threatened to tell Carly her boyfriend was the guilty party, but stopped in his tracks when Johnny retorted that he knew Todd stole Sam’s baby.

A kiss, a proposal and a failed escape.

After Kate visited Joe Jr. in jail, she returned to Sonny. They talked about Scully and then had sex. Afterwards, Kate had a memory about Johnny and then turned back into Connie, who paid Johnny a visit.

Trey found his father’s medal in Sonny’s warehouse, but before he could confront the mobster, Joe Jr. called his son. Joe urged Trey not to mention the medal or who his father was to Sonny. Trey left Sonny’s to visit his father in jail, just missing Kate. Joe told Trey his version of his past with Sonny and they plotted Sonny’s downfall.

Truth, lies and videotape.

After seeing Sam and John kissing, Jason went to the bridge where he ran into Elizabeth. As he confided in Liz about the kiss, Jason leaned in and smooched his ex. She took it in stride and urged him to work things out with Sam. The next day, Steve overheard Liz at Kelly’s leaving a message for Jason about their kiss. When Jason walked in, Steve lashed out at him, just as Sam arrived to get an ear full. Jason told Sam he kissed Liz after he saw her kissing McBain. Sam walked out after noticing Jason wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.

Confessions, kisses and confrontations.

After McBain had Jason detained on the plane in New Orleans, he paid Joe Jr. a visit. With his gun drawn, John tried to get Joe to confess about Theresa, but he played dumb. Junior’s henchman got the jump on John and tied him to a chair, but Jason arrived in time to take down Junior’s goons. Jason dragged Joe away, but left McBain behind.

Once in Port Charles, Sonny confronted a restrained Joe in his coffee warehouse about raping Connie.  Joe told Sonny Connie wanted it and that he knew about the baby. This obviously enraged Sonny, but John’s presence stopped him from killing his nemesis. John eventually got a confession out of Joe about his sister, but Joe put the blame on John. He explained that Theresa was killed because she was spotted talking to John when he was a fed and that was a big no-no in their business. The cops showed up after getting John’s call and arrested Joe Jr. McBain headed to the docks to drown his sorrows in a bottle of booze and ran into Sam. As they commiserated over their lives, John and Sam kissed.

Denial, blackmail and revenge.

After Luke stood her up, Tracy stopped by the Metro Court looking for him, but found Anna instead. While there, Tracy learned her feelings for Spencer weren’t returned as he and Anna were now seeing each other. Once Tracy was gone, Anna tried to reach Luke, but he was busy getting kidnapped by Heather.

While staying at Patrick’s house, Maxie made herself comfortable in a robe she found. Patrick freaked out upon seeing her in it, declaring it was a gift from Robin. Once Patrick left, Maxie discovered pills in the pocket. Patrick became defensive when Maxie confronted him on them, especially when she told him she discussed it with Lulu.

Trespassers, manipulators and movers.

Heather decided getting a job would be a good way to impress Luke and blackmailed Todd into hiring her at the Port Charles newspaper he acquired. Along with the paper, Manning also gained control over Crimson and a few other entertainment based holdings.

Jason found Sam at her baby’s gravesite and tried to reconcile, but she wasn’t able to forgive him. Meanwhile, Spinelli retraced Heather’s footsteps the night of the storm and ran into a state trooper who recalled seeing her that night. He informed Spinelli she was with her “husband.” Spinelli enlisted Sam’s help in the investigation, since she needed a distraction from her baby and Jason. They found a link between Todd and Heather and broke into Todd’s room. As Sam snooped, she found an article about the death of her baby.

New partnerships, hook-ups and memories.

Kristina tried to back out of “Mob Princess”, until producer Trey reminded her how her parents humiliated her. She brought the cameras to Sonny’s who turned the tables and put on the charm.

Lulu planned to sell The Haunted Star, but ended up only selling half to Johnny Zacchara. While the mobster informed Starr she would be singing at the casino, Lulu and Dante fought about her new business partner. However, after Dante confronted Johnny, he returned home for make up sex with his wife.

Baby swaps, forgiveness and realizations.

Tea made her way to the cabin after Todd and Heather tried, but failed to save her baby. Sam and her baby were also there, but Sam was passed out. Todd followed Heather’s advice and switched the women’s babies. Todd took Tea and the living baby to the hospital, as Jason found Sam. He discovered the dead baby and held it realizing he could have loved it. Once she woke up, Sam insisted the baby Jason found wasn’t hers. Jason took them to General Hospital, where Sam grieved, but still didn’t quite believe her son had died. Jason started to tell Sam he could have been a father to her son, but she wasn’t very receptive because after a vague conversation with McBain, Sam figured out he had been beaten up, right when she needed him most.

Babies, bullying and reality TV.

In order to avoid testifying against Matt in court, Maxie married him. Matt and Maxie both went free, but Spinelli was left devastated.

After getting arrested for Franco’s murder, Jason called Liz to bail him out when he couldn’t get a hold of Alexis. Once free, Jason went straight to McBain’s motel room to accuse him of sending the cops after him. After some words, Jason ran into Sam in the hallway and shared his theory that McBain ratted him out. Once Jason was gone, Sam faced John, but believed he had nothing to do with Jason’s arrest. As they talked, she went into labor and John was forced to help her give birth. Once Sam held her baby boy in her arms, John left the room and encountered Jason’s goons. They beat him up, dragged him into the storm and relayed Jason’s message that McBain go back to Llanview.
