Ethan quietly slipped away from Port Charles in an attempt to help Luke (Anthony Geary) help Robert (Tristan Rogers) deal with his grief over Robin (Kimberly McCullough), taking his portrayer Nathan Parsons with him. Fortunately, it sounds like Parsons will be making a splash on the small again soon though.
As reported by Soaps in Depth, Parsons has landed a role on the new ABC Family show “Bunheads.” The series is about a Vegas showgirl who gets married and moves to her husband’s small coastal hometown to work in her mother-in-law’s dance studio. Parsons will play a surfer named Godot, whose family owns the local hangout and who every girl in town is hot for. Read the rest of this entry »
Soaps are at their best when they focus on the relationships, and that is what every show seems to be doing right now. On “Days,” Carrie thinks she knows what is best by moving forward with Rafe, but may be railroaded before she gets a chance. Meanwhile, Will’s connection to his parents is being tested as he comes out and Lexi tries to spend as much time with her loved ones before she dies. In Port Charles, Maxie and Matt’s bond is being put to the test, while Todd tries to forge a stronger bond with his daughter. Johnny works to make amends with Carly and Jason and Sam remain at a distance. On “B&B,” Thomas proved he was the kind of man Caroline could get serious about while Hope and Steffy still hold out hope for a future with Liam. And on “Y&R,” tension continues to build and bonds are broken as everyone seems to be caught up in an emotional whirlwind. So let’s get down to it and see where we stood last week.
Deconstructing Days:
After watching Carrie and Rafe’s hot and heavy makeout sesh, Austin is going to have to do a little better than a scrapbook if he wants to save his marriage. It will help once she is back with him and dealing with a possible pregnancy. But that was minor compared to the biggest thing to happen in Salem last week, Will’s reveal to his parents Lucas and Sami that he is gay. And, of course, Sami reacted as childishly as we thought she would. Christine says, “Sami (say it with me) screwed up again and it was EJ who was the voice of reason. Sami’s never been very pragmatic and thankfully, EJ seems to be everywhere she is these days, when she needs an ear. Can you see where this relationship seems to be slowly headed? Just putting it out there. I digress. Sami was overwhelmed by the news of Will shooting EJ, Lucas going to jail, EJ blackmailing Will, and then finally she heard her son’s gay. I’d have been happy to have some good news after all the shooting and blackmail news but Sami made it all about her.” Read more at Days Of Our Lives Weekly Blog.
Ronnie Marmo came on the Port Charles scene in 2009 as cop and Falconeri family friend Ronnie Dimestico. Most of the fictional Ronnie’s time on the canvas was taken up by his preoccupation with bringing down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) by any means necessary, but we also learned along the way that he had a past with psycho artist Franco (James Franco) as well. Unfortunately, for the shady cop, his time was cut short after he was revealed to be the stripper stalker. John McBain (Michael Easton) shot and killed him on May 7, 2012 after Dimestico took Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) hostage. Read the rest of this entry »
Tensions have been running high between the Zacchara men since Johnny found out Claudia was his mother, not his sister. Last week, things escalated, ending in Anthony pulling a gun on his grandson. Johnny responded by telling the old man he was the one to shoot out his tires, in an attempt to kill him. Not Sonny.

Speculation over who shot Anthony’s tires has been swirling for months. This week, the field of suspects will narrow, as the culprit is revealed. There’s also a major bout between Anthony and Johnny on tap, which will supposedly end in a shocking moment. Are the two instances related?
Now that Spinelli spilled the beans in court that Matt was the one who killed Lisa Niles, Maxie needs to sign an oath swearing to it in order for her to be off the hook. Since she’s been covering for her boyfriend all this time, it’s clear she doesn’t want him to pay for his crime, so it’s up to Spinelli to convince her to turn him in. Spinelli certainly has his work cut out for him, but one would think the thought of Maxie getting another shiner from her “clumsy” cellmate would do the trick. Unless, of course, black and blue is now in season. Read the rest of this entry »
