If you are a subscriber to Cablevision and live in Long Island, Westchester, Brooklyn, the Bronx and selected suburbs of Connecticut and New Jersey, you may no longer be able to view your favorite ABC Daytime soap operas.

Following two years of unsuccessful negotiations, Cablevision has opted not to carry ABC7 at this time. The dropping of the network will take place on Monday March 8. There have been Facebook pages set up by concerned viewers to join the fight against this, such as ‘Cablevision…Don’t take away my ABC7′ and ‘Save ABC7 New York From Cablevision Greed’. General Hospital audiences may know her best as Brenda Barrett, but Vanessa Marcil has just taken a role in a new web series called, “The Bannen Way.”

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the thriller follows a thief trying to start over, but unable to leave a life of crime behind. The series will run for 14 five to seven minute long episodes and debut in January 2010 on the Crackle website.

Taking a gamble in Port Charles.

Ethan accidentally stumbled into a mob shootout between Johnny, Max and Milo. His appearance distracted them long enough that Johnny escaped unnoticed. He later popped at the Haunted Star to thank the Aussie and leave him a big tip. While Luke questioned his son about this, Johnny slipped over to Olivia’s to give her some bling before they had sex on her floor. Jason showed up soon after, once he got confirmation from surveillance footage that Johnny was the one who hijacked a Corinthos shipment. They issued threats to each other but this only made Johnny want to racket up his fight even more. Sam later called Johnny over to try and talk him out of going to war but he refused to back down. Johnny turned to Ethan and tried to loop him into his plan to break Sonny down and make him pay. GH’s Ronnie Marmo (Ronnie) is being celebrated at the 8th Annual Garden State Film Festival.

The actor is receiving the Robert Pastorelli Rising Star Award at the festival which was founded by film industry veteran Diane Raver and the late actor Robert Pastorelli (“Murphy Brown”). The festival was started to “promote the art of filmmaking on all levels by showcasing a wide variety of film, video and animated works as well as provide educational programs in the creative arts to the public by industry leaders.” Read the rest of this entry »
