* Nadia Bjorlin will be returning to “Days” as Chloe Lane for several episodes sometime late in the summer/fall.

* Rory will be played by Kevin Riggin May 23. Rory’s a troubled friend of JJ’s.

“DOOL” is currently casting for a 23-26 year old Caucasian named Derek.

Anthony Tyler Quinn is playing the crooked cop, Det. Bernardi.

Kevin Peake is the bouncer at the strip club in Chicago. He was also a young Sam Bennett in a 2004 “Passions” flashback.

Derek Magyar will be seen as Jensen in an upcoming fight scene. Check out Soaps.com’s May Comings and Goings page for a photo.

There is a casting call out for upscale men and women aged 50-70 for a shoot on these airdates: May 6, 8, 9, and 10. Actors must not have already acted on the show this year.

Casey Moss has been cast as J.J. Deveraux. Look for him to appear on May 3 or 6. The date may change due to the preempt earlier this month.

It is rumored that Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton) has been taken off contract and placed on recurring status.

Former “All My Children” actress Chrishell Stause has joined the cast in a new role. Look for her character to start airing in August.

Thoughts on Days.

The week started with a bang, or at least a thud, as Rafe’s tender cranium was dealt a brutal blow. He was then kicked until he was squirting ketchup. Hope was called to the scene to investigate. Roman apparently had a heads up and left town to avoid doing actual police work. Abe was called away from being endlessly reminded that his wife was dead so that he could have a different body to contemplate. He didn’t bother sticking around. Hernandez was wheeled over to Salem’s most expensive butcher shop. The accusations about who would have made marmalade of his mind were soon flowing fast. It was enough to put a pregnant woman off her anchovy and green tea muffins. In fact, that’s exactly what happened as Gabbah heard the news of the Rafe rollicking and rushed to her brother’s bedside. He had always been so good to her, she sobbed. What would have happened to her if he hadn’t forced her to do her calculus homework instead of watching “Passions?” She never could have married an ex-con and ladled clam goo in a back alley pub. Ciara is in the square with the envelope of doom. Nicole pops up and asks what she’s doing. “It’s private. You know what means?” Ciara shoots back. Caroline shows up and sits with Nic while Ciara and Johnny play My Little Pony. Nic and Ma Brady discuss Eric, Rafe and Sami’s idiocy. Meanwhile, Johnny asks Ciara to show him what’s in her envelope. She tells him what’s in her envelope isn’t for boys. He tries to take it from her Caroline comes over and stops them. Johnny grabs the envelope when Ciara isn’t looking. At Casa DiMera, Kristen tells Brady that she’s not turning her back on her family and, if he can’t handle it, they should call the wedding off. This doesn’t make sense to him. She explains that he’s too good and she’ll hurt him. Kristen begs him to take the exit she’s giving him. He’s still confused. Maggie barges in with a wedding gift. Kristen leaves them alone. Holy Barnacles!

Someone lurks outside of Jenn’s as she departs, noting the door was open. Over at the hospital, Daniel is chatting with Maxine. They wonder where Anne is. The babysitter brings Parker in. “G’morning little duuuuude!” the doctor growls as he picks him up. Jenn arrives. “Holy barnacles!” Daniel says. She pulls out the train she sat on this morning and hand sit to the kid. Jenn and Dan make out. Anne shows up and gags. Jenn heads to her office and Anne follows her. Milbauer rolls up her sleeves and threatens to fully enforce the hospital’s codes of conduct and that means no more PDAs. Daniel appears as Milbauer lectures. After Jenn walks off, Anne tells ‘golden boy’ that his magic hands do not not make him the boss of her. He explains that Chloe told him about the shady things she helped her do. The doctor threatens to tell Mr. Burns if she misbehaves again. Jenn returns. “High-ho, it’s back to work I go,” says Anne, walking off. She huffs and puffs and complains to Maxine about the Horton. She’s sure that someone will teach her a lesson. Back at the Horton house, someone picks up a photo of Jenn and Daniel. Read the rest of this entry »
