It looks as though “The Young And The Restless” longtime actress Eileen Davidson, who’s played Ashley Abbott on and off since 1986, will be leaving the show. TV Guide is reporting that former “The Young And The Restless” actor Aaron Lustig (“Desperate Housewives,” “90210,” “The Bold And The Beautiful”) will be returning to the show as psychiatrist Dr. Tim Reid. He’ll begin taping scenes today, which will beginning airing on May 30. So far, he’ll tape six-episodes.
Longtime fans will remember that Dr. Tim (1996 – 2002) was Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) court-appointed marriage counselor, who she ended up having an affair with. The affair was a taped one, courtesy of Phyllis, in order to get him to testify on her behalf. Once Dr. Tim admitted what he’d done, it was detrimental to his career. Look for the cold case against Phyllis, where she tried to kill Christine (Lauralee Bell) in a hit and run, to be reopened. Guess who seeks out Tim’s help? Ricky (Peter Porte)!
