Though it was never stated how long Thom Bierdz (Phillip Chancellor III) would be staying on at The Young and the Restless, the actor has made it clear, through his Twitter today, stating that his time with the show is over - as of his last scenes yesterday.

ThomBierdz tweeted, “true - my y&r contract has ended. i feel great about the good-bye scenes that aired yesterday. i really love those people.”

He’s coming back!

Yes, fans, the much loved character of Malcolm Winters (previously played by Shemar Moore from 1998 to 2005) will be returning to Genoa City to reunite with Neil and help his biological daughter, Lily, through her cancer - but with a new look! Actor Darius McCrary has just told Entertainment Weekly that he’s been cast, with a multi-year contract, to play the popular Young and the Restless role!

Bridget Ann White returns to play Dr. Snyder on October 1.

Scott Klace will appear as Dr. Swift on October 1.

Karen Hensel returns as Doris Collins on October 9.

Sean Smith plays a Securities Investigator on October 27.

Could he be Genoa City’s next tycoon?

When putting out the casting call, the show was looking for a well-established actor - and they got one! Great news fans, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that William Russ, who played Alan Matthews on the 90’s family sitcom “Boy Meets World,” from 1993 to 2000, has just been cast to play billionaire Tucker on The Young and the Restless! Longtime fans of “Another World” may remember him from his role as Burt McGowan back in 1978.

The internet is plagued with rumors! Do not listen to false gossip! I have no desire to leave the landscape of Genoa City! Realize that story tell…ing is cyclical, and my non-presence on the show is merely a “Vacation”! I love all of my friends! Thank you for your support and concern! Loose lips sink ships!”

Will Victoria Rowell return to Genoa City as Drucilla?

Victoria Rowell played Drucilla Winters on Daytime’s hottest soap, The Young and The Restless since 1994. The last time we saw Drucilla, she had accidentally fallen off a cliff, never to be seen again. Some assume she has washed up somewhere without a memory of who she is and fans are just waiting for the chance to see her return!
