It’s official, Steve Burton announced on “The Talk” that he will in fact be joining “Y&R” as Avery’s (Jessica Collins) supposedly dead ex Dylan McAvoy, the one she had an affair with while she was married! Tune in Tuesday January 8 when Burton’s character’s hand is seen holding a plane ticket to Genoa City. However, we won’t see the character until January 29.
In regards to why Burton chose to leave “GH” and take on a “Y&R” role, Burton wanted to get to Nashville and get out of LA and told his manager if he could come back and forth he’d do that in a second – something he couldn’t do while with “GH.” Watch his appearance below:
Looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Billy Abbott in Genoa City! CBS Soaps In Depth is reporting that Billy Miller just signed a new contract with “The Young And The Restless.” No details as to how long have been released.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Graziadei’s last airdate is scheduled for January 2. However, due to the December 14 pre-empt, it may be pushed forward to January 3.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Michael Graziadei, who’s played Daniel Romalotti since 2004, is leaving “The Young And The Restless” when his contract expires. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Joshua Morrow (Nick) and Peter Bergman (Jack), along with other castmates, gathered for a goodbye party back on November 30. As of yet, there is no word on his final airdate.
“The Young And The Restless” has cast veteran soap opera actor Mark Pinter in a guest starring role! TV Guide is reporting that Pinter will play a powerful congressman named Marcus Wheeler who will be in scenes with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). The actor starts filming on Thursday December 6 and will first be seen in Genoa City on Friday January 11. His role will last at least through February sweeps.
Pinter is known for his roles as Thomas Rayner (“GH”), Roger Smythe (“AMC”), Grant Harrison (“Another World”), Dan Hollister (“Loving”), Brian McColl (“ATWT”) and Mark Evans (“GL”).

Ignacio Serricchio will first appear as Detective Alex Chavez on Friday December 7.

TV Guide is reporting that former “General Hospital” alum Ignacio Serricchio (ex-Diego Alcazar) has been cast in a new Genoa City role. Serricchio will first been seen sometime in December as a streetwise undercover cop from New York named Alex.

Redaric Williams and Angell Conwell (Leslie) have revealed that Williams’ character, Tyler, is in fact Leslie Michaelson’s brother.

During the week of November 5 Lamon Archey and Redaric Williams both began taping for their new Genoa City roles. Look for Williams’ character, Tyler Douglas, to first arrive on the scene on Friday December 14.
