Since the parade starts at 11:00 AM, you’ll want to check your local listings to find out if your show will be aired after the parade or not. If your show isn’t aired afterward, we invite you to read our daily updates on Soaps.com for all soaps, or on Soap Opera Fan for Matt’s Days Of Our Lives update! Updated to add that we just got word that WNBC will air Days Of Our Lives at 3:04 AM, Saturday November 7. The Young and The Restless will air on its local network in New York City on Saturday at 3:07 AM followed by Bold and The Beautiful at 4:07 AM.

Is he or isn’t he?

Good news fans, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Eric was able to work out a new deal with Sony and will not be leaving the show! Eric’s rep. confirmed the news by saying, “Eric has agreed to return to Y&R.”

Unable to come to an agreement with the show, during contract negotiations, Eric will in fact be leaving The Young and the Restless and told Entrainment Weekly, “We reached an impasse in the negotiations. I have shown flexibility, they have shown none. It is over. I pulled the plug. That’s it. No more. If I show good will, I expect it to be reciprocated. If there is a rigid attitude on the other side, what is there to to negotiate? That’s a sign of utter disrespect. I will not negotiate with people who remain aloof and arrogant about the whole thing. Not after 30 years, I won’t do that. I’m saying this with a great amount of sadness because I’ve had nothing but respect for my fellow cast members, I have deep respect for the crew who has done an extraordinary job year in and year out, and I have enormous respect for (head writer) Maria Bell.”

When putting out the casting call, the show was looking for a well-established actor - and they got one! Great news fans, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that William Russ, who played Alan Matthews on the 90’s family sitcom “Boy Meets World,” from 1993 to 2000, has just been cast to play billionaire Tucker on The Young and the Restless! Longtime fans of “Another World” may remember him from his role as Burt McGowan back in 1978.

Daytime actor turned writer!

Fans may remember Ben Watkins, the former Young and the Restless actor from his role as Dr. Wesley Carter (2002 - 2004), who had scenes with with Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) and Olivia Winters (Tonya Lee Williams), and may even be a fan of his writing duties for USA’s “Burn Notice,” but now the actor will be hitting the FOX scene with a new drama. Ben’s new writing project, yet to been titled, is said to surround the life of an ethnically and culturally diverse woman private eye.
